Hokkaido Medical Center Data Breach Affects Up to 510,000 Individuals
Hard drives containing electronic medical records and other information, which Hokkaido Medical Center had outsourced for disposal, were found to be listed on an internet auction. The National Hospital Organization announced that at least 180,000 patient and staff personal data records have been leaked, with a potential total of up to 510,000 records at risk.
