Hungary Debates Expanded Role for Deputy Ombudsmen

While the Hungarian government and the Legislative Committee did not support explicitly including the deputy ombudsmen for national minorities and future generations in the Fundamental Law, discussions suggest their role may increase later.

Bár a kormány és a Törvényalkotási Bizottság (TAB) most nem támogatta, hogy az Alaptörvényben külön szerepeltessék az alapvető jogok biztosának a nemzetiségek és a jövő nemzedékek jogait védő helyetteseit, az ülésen elhangzott: átfogóan visszatérnek majd az ombudsman jogállására.
