IATA Reports Fewer Aviation Accidents but More Fatalities in 2025
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported a lower rate of aviation accidents in 2025, with 1.32 accidents per million flights, but a significant increase in fatalities, rising from 244 in 2024 to 394.
