Icelandic Glaciers Continue to Shrink, Retreating Further
Measurements by the Icelandic Glaciological Society from 2024-2025 show that most of Iceland's glacier tongues are continuing to retreat. Significant melting is particularly noted on the large outlet glaciers of Vatnajökull, Langjökull, and Mýrdalsjökull.
