Islandské referendum o EU je prohrou pro místní vládu i pro unii

Při pohledu na kampaň před referendem se místy zdálo, že otázka možného připojení Islandu do unijního klubu stojí a padá s makrelami. Přesněji řečeno, zda je tamní rybáři budou moci nadále lovit a vyvážet podle svého, nebo se budou muset podřídit unijním kvótám. Ve skutečnosti však bylo v sázce mnohem více, a to pro obě strany.
