Increased Dropout Rates Among Women in Icelandic Higher Education

Official Eurostat data indicates that Iceland has the highest dropout rate among 18-24 year olds in secondary education within the EU, with a notable increase in women leaving their studies.

Hvergi innan Evrópusambandsins var brotthvarf nemenda úr námi á framhaldsskólastigi hærra en á Íslandi árið 2025 ef marka má opinber gögn frá hagstofu Evrópusambandsins, Eurostat. Samkvæmt þeim höfðu 16,7 prósent íslenskra ungmenna á aldrinum 18-24 ára hrökklast frá námi á framhaldsskólastigi.
