India's Stock Market Implements New Timings and Extended Trading

New stock market timings from August 3: What has changed?

Starting August 3, Sebi will implement a new Closing Auction Session for F&O stocks. This session will determine the official closing price after regular trading concludes. Trading hours in the equity derivatives segment will also extend by ten minutes. The pre-open session has been revised with new order entry and matching times. These changes aim for a fairer and more transparent closing price discovery.
