Ordered wedding dress on Instagram, never got it: Boutique told to pay Rs 36,880

A Kerala consumer commission ordered an Instagram boutique to pay compensation. The boutique took full payment for two wedding dresses but delivered only one. It also failed to refund the money for the undelivered dress. The commission ruled that social media sellers are bound by consumer protection laws. The boutique must pay Rs 36,880 for the undelivered item and inconvenience.
