Italian Minister Proposes Delaying Manzoni's "The Betrothed" in Schools

Italy's Education Minister, Giuseppe Valditara, has proposed that Alessandro Manzoni's classic novel, "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed), is no longer contemporary enough for early high school and should be taught later in students' academic careers.
