Italian Railways CEO Discusses Competition with France and Infrastructure

The CEO of Gruppo FS, Donnarumma, stated in an interview that competition with French railways is welcome if reciprocity exists, also highlighting the efficiency of Italian infrastructure projects compared to Germany and the central role of the Pnrr.

Intervista all’ad del Gruppo FS, ospite a Repubblica delle Idee: “In Germania l’infrastruttura è obsoleta, ci sono tanti cantieri e fermano le tratte per mesi. Noi li blocchiamo per qualche ora. Il Pnrr ci vede in un ruolo centrale, con circa 25 miliardi di euro assegnati. Ne abbiamo investiti la metà lo scorso anno e altrettanti nel 2026”
