(ANSA) - VILNIUS, 31 LUG - The Italian Ambassador to Lithuania, Emanuele de Maigret, participated today at the Siauliai Air Base—in the presence of Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Defense, Bronius Bieliauskas, at the ceremony marking Italy’s assumption of command of the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission, taking over from the French and Romanian contingents. For the next four months, the Italian Air Force will contribute to the surveillance of the Baltic states’ airspace by deploying its personne...
