Heatwave peaks Friday with 9 red warnings, dropping to 6 Saturday and 4 on Sunday

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 28 - Italy's sixth brutal heatwave will hit another peak Friday, but it's expected to ease over the weekend, with the exception of Sicily and Calabria, according to the Ministry of Health's heatwave bulletin. Today, 9 red warnings, meaning the highest level of heat risk, are in place: Bari, Cagliari, Campobasso, Catania, Latina, Messina, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, and Rome.
