Japan's Transport Ministry Proposes Increased Loan Fees for Shinkansen Operators
An expert panel for Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has proposed extending the payment period for Shinkansen 'loan fees' by JR companies for another 30 years after the initial 30-year period, with a mechanism for increases based on inflation.
