Latvian citizen to be prosecuted for war glorification

On 14 August this year, the State Security Service (VDD) urged the Public Prosecutor’s Office to initiate criminal proceedings against a Latvian citizen for the prolonged and systematic glorification and justification of the war waged by Russia in Ukraine, inciting hatred against Ukrainians, as well as the unauthorised possession of a high-powered air gun and explosives.
