Latvian Rescuers Urge Public to Stay Home After Storm
Despite winds subsiding on Sunday, August 23, the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) urged people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel. Rescuers also requested that the public refrain from visiting or photographing storm damage for safety reasons.
