Litoměřice Plants 24,000 Drought-Resistant Trees to Create Forest Park

The city of Litoměřice in the Czech Republic has transformed a clearing on Mostná hora into a forest park by planting 24,000 new drought-resistant trees, including oaks, beeches, and hornbeams, over two years.

Z mýtiny na Mostné hoře v Litoměřicích se během dvou let stal opět lesopark. Desítky smrků, borovic, javorů nebo jasanů nahradily vůči suchu odolnější dřeviny, jako jsou buky, duby nebo habry. Lesníci na vykácené plochy vysadili na 24 tisíc nových stromů různých velikostí.
