Montenegro's ASK Warns of Excessive Power for Security Chiefs

Montenegro's Agency for Prevention of Corruption (ASK) has issued opinions highlighting that laws concerning the National Security Agency (ANB) and police grant excessive discretion and power to security sector leaders. The agency notes a concentration of power and insufficient oversight mechanisms.

U dva odvojena mišljenja objavljena na sajtu te institucije, ASK ukazuje na široku diskreciju rukovodilaca bezbjednosnog sektora, koncentraciju moći i nedovoljno razvijene mehanizme unutrašnjeg i spoljnog nadzora navodeći da su iz civilnog sektora bili u pravu kada su naglašavali da su ova zakonska rješenja "korak unazad" kada je u pitanju sudska kontrola
