Mother, 52, and daughter, 12, 'hurt by wolf'

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 21 - A 52-year-old Italian woman and her 12-year-old daughter were injured Thursday in an apparent attack by a wolf while on holiday at Gallipoli in Puglia, local sources said. The mother and daughter suffered minor cuts and bruises and were discharged from hospital on Friday. A 47-year-old tourist who intervened to help them feend off the animal also suffered slight injuries and left hospital Friday. Rangers are investigating to see if it really was a wolf or a wild dog.
