Learn Marathi in 1 month or lose licence? New rules for auto, taxi drivers kick in

Auto and taxi drivers must now possess working Marathi knowledge starting 18 August. Non-compliant drivers will receive a show-cause notice and one month to learn. Failure to comply leads to a three-month license suspension and potential revocation. Over one lakh certificates were prepared for drivers completing the basic Marathi course. This initiative aims to improve communication between drivers and passengers across Maharashtra.
