Nagaland Legislature Passes Resolution Urging Central Government to Withdraw Protected Area Permit Regime
The Nagaland state assembly has passed a resolution calling on the Indian central government to withdraw the Protected Area Permit (PAP) regime, which regulates foreign national entry into notified areas. The permit system was previously relaxed in 2011 before being reimposed in December 2024.
