Nearly half a million calls to Portugal's SNS 24 health line waited over 30 minutes
A study by the ERS reveals that almost 500,000 calls to the Portuguese health line SNS 24 waited more than 30 minutes. The number of calls handled by the line increased significantly from 2.57 million in 2024 to approximately 4.09 million in 2025 due to an expanded project.
