New definition of the second is getting closer. An important decision in October

From October 13-15, the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) will be held in Versailles near Paris, during which delegates will consider a proposal regarding the future definition of the second.

W dniach 13-15 października w Wersalu pod Paryżem odbędzie się Generalna Konferencja Miar i Wag (CGPM), podczas której delegaci będą rozpatrywać propozycję dotyczącą przyszłej definicji sekundy. Zdaniem dr. Łukasza Olejnika, przegłosowanie tej zmiany wyeliminuje korekty czasu na tysiące lat.
