NHTSA Investigates Tesla’s Steering-Wheel-Free Cybercab Deployment

Federal regulators are investigating Musk’s new steering-wheel-free Cybercabs a day after launch, unconvinced by Tesla’s self-certification process

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it was looking into whether Tesla was in full compliance with federal rules when it deployed so-called Cybercabs in Austin.
