Niš Assembly President Sentenced for Abuse of Office by Appellate Court

Igor Novaković, President of the Niš City Assembly and head of the Niš Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) committee, has been sentenced to one and a half years in prison for abuse of official position during his tenure as director of the 'Jugoistok' company, a verdict confirmed by the Appellate Court.
