The city of Novi Sad plans to begin construction of its first solar-thermal power plant by 2028, featuring a large seasonal heat storage system to reduce reliance on gas for heating, with the aim of full implementation by 2030.

Izgradnja Solar-termal sistema trebalo bi da počne 2028. godine, najavio je gradonačelnik Žarko Mićin, pred današnju Sednicu Skupštine grada, gde se na dnevnom redu našla i Odluka o izradi izmena i dopuna Plana generalne regulacije radne zone u severoističnom delu grada, tj. lokaliteta "Novosadske toplane".
