Ostrava Residents Oppose New Tram Line Construction

Residents of Ostrava-Poruba and surrounding areas are strongly opposing the construction of a new tram line, having filed thousands of objections and threatening legal action after a lengthy meeting failed to reach an agreement.

Ani víc než sedmihodinové jednání s obyvateli Ostravy-Poruby a přilehlých čvrtí nepřineslo shodu na stavbě nové tramvajové trati. Obyvatelé už proti záměru dopravního podniku podali tisíce připomínek a hodlají se bránit dál. A to i soudní cestou. Dopravní podnik Ostrava chce koleje začít budovat příští rok na podzim.
