Over 4,500 Heatstroke Cases Reported Nationwide in Japan
More than 4,500 people were transported to hospitals nationwide in Japan due to heatstroke in the week leading up to July 12, tripling the number from the previous week. The Fire and Disaster Management Agency attributes this surge to prolonged high temperatures after the end of the rainy season.
