Pardubice District Mayor Removed Amid Public Procurement Manipulation Allegations

The council of Pardubice's sixth district has removed Mayor Petr Králíček from office in a secret vote, following accusations of manipulating public contracts. Králíček denies the allegations and maintains his innocence.

Zastupitelé šestého pardubického obvodu v tajné volbě odvolali starostu Petra Králíčka. Důvodem je obvinění z manipulace s veřejnými zakázkami. K odstoupení byl vyzván již dříve, sám ale trvá na své nevině. „Vše zveřejním, aby občané našeho obvodu měli jasné informace, o co v této kauze jde,“ řekl Králíček pro Český rozhlas Pardubice.
