Poland Sees Decline in Alcohol Consumption

Poland, historically part of the 'vodka belt,' is experiencing a significant decline in alcohol consumption, with vodka sales falling by 5-8% year-on-year and beer consumption decreasing for the eighth consecutive year.

Byla to země zaslíbená alkoholu. Patří do tzv. vodkového pásu – spolu se skandinávskými a pobaltskými státy, Běloruskem, Ukrajinou a Ruskem. Nyní ale v Polsku klesá spotřeba vodky (meziročně o pět až osm procent) a osmým rokem klesá i spotřeba piva. Letošek přitom přinesl skutečný zlom. V první polovině roku 2026 klesl prodej alkoholického piva skoro o 12 procent.
