Polish Government Bypasses Veto to Extend EU SAFE Loans

The Polish government has found a way to extend loans from the EU's SAFE Instrument to the police, Border Guard, and infrastructure projects by expanding a non-military defense preparation program funded by the Ministry of National Defense budget.

Rząd przedstawił sposób, w jaki pożyczki z unijnego Instrumentu SAFE będą mogły też trafić do policji, Straży Granicznej i na projekty infrastrukturalne. Poszerzony zostanie program obronnych przygotowań pozamilitarnych finansowany z budżetu MON, a z kolei armia wykorzysta więcej pożyczek z UE.
