Polish Parliament Debates Constitutionality of New Fuel Tax

The Sejm's Public Finance Committee has adopted amendments to a bill on extraordinary profits for fuel companies, but parts of the fuel industry and opposition argue that the proposed tax is unconstitutional and would result in double taxation.

Sejmowe obawy o konstytucyjność nowego podatku paliwowego

Sejmowa Komisja Finansów Publicznych przyjęła poprawki do projektu ustawy o nadzwyczajnych zyskach firm paliwowych. Część branży paliwowej, a także opozycji wskazuje, że podatek ten jest niekonstytucyjny i podwójnie opodatkuje branżę. Swoje obawy wyraziło także biuro legislacyjne Sejmu.
