Polish Village to Become Pilgrimage Site with Giant Virgin Mary Statue
A monument of the Virgin Mary, over 55 meters tall, is being erected in the Polish village of Konotopie, financed by one of Poland's wealthiest individuals, Roman Karkosik, with the aim of making it a pilgrimage magnet.
