Prime Minister Kishi held telephone talks with Iranian President Pezeshkian for approximately 25 minutes from around 4 PM. Amidst an agreement between the United States and Iran on a two-week ceasefire, it is believed they exchanged views on measures to de-escalate the situation and ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
