Research published in Science indicates that psilocybin acts as a protective agent for nerve endings, potentially easing difficulties after chemotherapy. Neuroscientist Mário Heleš, formerly at Anderson Cancer Center, contributed significantly to the study, which is soon to be tested on humans.
