U.S. nearly encroached on Canadian sovereignty during tariff talks: Quebec premier

Quebec Premier Christine Fréchette said that the U.S. also proposed negotiating matters around Quebec’s French language legislation, such as the presence of French on consumer devices like electronics or household appliances and the availability of user manuals in French.
