Record Low Turnout Expected for Czech Senate Elections as Candidate Pool Shrinks

The Czech Statistical Office confirmed that only 154 candidates will compete for 27 Senate seats this year, a significant drop from the 235 who ran in the same districts during the 2020 elections.

O 27 senátních křesel bude letos bojovat celkem 154 kandidátů, potvrdil ve středu Český statistický úřad (ČSÚ) na volebním webu. V předchozích volbách v obvodech, kde se letos bude hlasovat, jich v roce 2020 bylo 235.
