RKI estimates 1,700 heat-related deaths in Hessen, Germany

According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), approximately 1,710 people have died in Hessen, Germany, due to heat-related causes by early August. This figure surpasses the total number of heat deaths recorded in any single year since 2016.
