Saudi recalls certain Danone infant formula batches over contamination concerns - Khaleej Times

Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has announced the recall of specific batches of Danone infant formula due to potential contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport. The affected products are Aptamil CF 1, Aptamil CF 3, and Aptamil AR, manufactured by Danone Specialized Nutrition. The SFDA stated that the recall is a precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety. Consumers are advised to check the batch numbers of their Danone infant formula and return any affected products to the point of purchase for a refund. The SFDA has also instructed retailers to remove the recalled batches from shelves. This recall follows similar actions taken in other countries due to concerns about the safety of infant formula products.
