SBI Ordered to Pay Customer After Failing to Provide CCTV for ATM Fraud

SBI fails to produce CCTV after Rs 80,000 ATM fraud; panel upholds Rs 1.30 lakh payout

State Bank of India must pay a customer Rs 1.30 lakh for unauthorized transactions. The bank failed to provide CCTV footage of the disputed ATM withdrawals. It also could not explain two fund transfers made from the account. The consumer commission upheld the payout after the bank's appeal was dismissed. This decision followed the bank's service deficiency in handling the complaint.
