Scientists Enhance Light-Sound Interaction in Optical Fibre by Freezing Liquid

Scientists have achieved a more than 1,000-fold increase in light and sound interaction within optical fibers by freezing the liquid inside them to -196°C, while maintaining the fiber's light-guiding capability.
