Sedlec-Prčice Introduces Waste Fee After Low Collection Rates

The town of Sedlec-Prčice in the Příbram region of the Czech Republic has introduced a 600 CZK fee for waste collection after finding that approximately 30% of bins were not collected last year, aiming to motivate residents to sort waste.

Motivovat obyvatele k třídění odpadu se loni rozhodlo vedení města Sedlec-Prčice na Příbramsku, zavedlo proto poplatek za objem vyvezeného odpadu. Opatření mělo spíše opačný efekt. Zhruba 30 procent popelnic lidé nenechali vyvézt vůbec nebo pouze jednou.
