'Shotgun wedding': Teenage lovers skip exam to marry at temple
A teenage couple in Varanasi, aiming to marry instead of taking their UP Board exams, were intercepted by police. Officers responsibly escorted the students to their respective exam centers first. Post-examination, the 17-year-old girl was taken to the child welfare committee, and both were later permitted to return home after age verification.
