Tik pred začetkom domačega evropskega prvenstva do 20 let smo govorili z nekdanjim selektorjem generacij 1998, 2000 in 2001, pri katerih so slovenski fantje osvojili srebro, zlato in šesto mesto, Zoranom Martićem. Odlična generacija, ki je bila predlani na evropskem prvenstvu in lani na svetovnem prvenstvu bronasta, bo zdaj zadnjič igrala skupaj v mlajših selekcijah.
