Spanish Judge on Minors' Cases Expresses Desire to Condemn Parents
Reyes Martel, one of Spain's 81 judges specializing in cases involving minors, handles approximately 3,000 cases annually and expresses a desire to condemn parents in certain situations. She notes that 14,000 minors are sentenced each year, often to community service or the Camino de Santiago, and recalls a case where a child prostituted by his family later became an engineer.
