Super League 2 Changes Format to Single Group with 16 Teams

Greece's Super League 2 is changing its format for the current season, with the Board of Directors unanimously approving the abolition of playoffs and playouts, resulting in a single group of 16 teams.

Super League 2: Αλλάζει το πρωτάθλημα-Ένας ενιαίος όμιλος με 16 ομάδες χωρίς playoffs και playouts

Η Super League 2 αλλάζει μορφή την φετινή σεζόν, καθώς το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο ενέκρινε ομόφωνα την κατάργηση των playoffs και playouts. Έτσι το νέο πρωτάθλημα θα διεξαχθεί σε έναν ενιαίο όμιλο με τη συμμετοχή 16 ομάδων, από τις οποίες οι δύο πρώτες θα εξασφαλίσουν την άνοδο στην Super League, ενώ οι τέσσερις τελευταίες θα υποβιβαστούν στην Γ’ Εθνική. Η έναρξη του νέου πρωταθλήματος έχει προγραμματιστεί για τις 6 Σεπτεμβρίου, ενώ η κλήρωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 28 Αυγούστου.
