Syrian Grand Mufti from Assad Era Sentenced to Life Imprisonment

Ahmed Hassoun, 77, who served as the Grand Mufti of Syria from 2005 to 2021 during the rule of ousted President Bashar al-Assad, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
