Three-day urs begins at Bababudangiri Hill in Chikkamagaluru
The annual three-day urs, a religious festival, commenced on Friday at the Dattatreya Peetha atop Bababudangiri Hill in Chikkamagaluru district. The event is expected to draw thousands of devotees and pilgrims from across the state and neighboring regions. The urs marks the commemoration of the urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Dada Hayath Kandhari. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration and the Muzrai department to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival, including security, sanitation, and accommodation for the attendees.
