Tokyo Police Apprehend Youths in Kabukicho, Urge Overdose Prevention

Tokyo police conducted a sweep in the Kabukicho 'Tōyoko' area, apprehending 21 young people for being out late and urging pharmacies to implement measures to prevent drug overdoses among youth.

新学期への不安などから、東京歌舞伎町の「トー横」と呼ばれるエリアに子どもたちが増えるおそれがあるとして、警視庁は一斉補導を行い、深夜に出歩いていた中高生など21人を補導しました。また、若者に広がる薬の過剰摂取＝「オーバードーズ」を防ぐため、薬局にチラシを配って処方箋の確認を徹底するよう呼びかけました。
