UNFPA Calls for Increased Health Financing and Local Contraceptive Production in Africa

The UNFPA has highlighted that over 30% of maternal deaths in Africa occur among adolescents and urged African nations to increase domestic health financing to end preventable maternal deaths. They also advocated for Africa to manufacture its own contraceptives to achieve health sovereignty.
