WFP Warns El Niño Could Lead to Acute Hunger for 50 Million People

The World Food Programme (WFP) has issued a warning that the developing El Niño climate phenomenon could push approximately 50 million more people into acute hunger by the end of next year. The WFP highlighted that many already face severe food insecurity.
